Valerie has worked in the Market Research Industry for 20+ years.  In 1999, Martin began working for one of the South’s largest Market Research Firms located in Jackson MS; Southern Research Group.  Her tenure with Southern Research Group began in June 1999 to June 2009.  During her first 8 months of employment with SRG, Martin worked as an Interviewer, while quickly earning a promotion to working alongside the VP of Operations, as Operations Assistant, by her 9th month of employment. Martin’s myriad of duties ranged from handling all accounts payable & receivable, to assisting with Media Buys & Focus Groups.  In July 2006, Martin received her certification in Peachtree Premium Accounting Software; payables, receivables, and payroll, from Allday Consulting Group, located in Metairie Louisiana.  Valerie has also appeared in Political Commercials and print ads by Southern Research Group & Southern Research Group’s former partner(s), Political Insights. 

  

      In June 2009, Valerie packed her bags and relocated to Detroit Michigan.  In September 2010, Martin attended Sianna Muscles in Motion, earning a certification in Reflexology and, later, enrolled in Irene’s Myomassology Institute - studying their advanced MT program. Eventually, realizing, Massage Therapy wasn’t her true passion, Martin decided to follow a different path....one, of real self-discovery. In January 2013, Martin began utilizing her self-taught talents as a freelance writer and website designer, designing websites for clients such as DMPYO, Detroit Michigan Panthers Youth Organization & Detroit City Council Candidate, Dustin Campbell, during his run for District 7 city council. In January 2021, Martin added to her resume by dabbling in Stocks, Call Options, and Investing.     Currently, Martin continues to utilize her talents as a freelance Website Designer, Bookkeeper, Food Blogger & Vlogger, Self-taught Home Chef, and, Investor in the Stock Market. Miss Martin is striving to build GoVeganBeDope into a household name and way of life.
